About Amy

I've been digging in dirt since I was a little girl with my mom who is an avid gardener. I grew up in the suburbs of Denver and moved to Grand County in 2002. I completed the Colorado Master Gardener course through CSU and have continued my education taking course on native plants, pollinators, xeric gardens and high altitude plants to name a few. I also took a permaculture course through the Central Rocky Mountain Permaculture Institute as well as classes from the Audubon Society.

I was the head gardener for the town of Winter Park for almost a decade and during that time I learned invaluable skills and knowledge working in a challenging environment. I was also able to display my garden designs on main street and throughout town.

Now I've started my own business, Amy's Alpine Gardens to share my love and knowledge of high altitude gardening into the beautiful mountain towns of Winter Park, Fraser, Granby, Tabernash and Grand Lake located in Grand County Colorado.
